Creative Director, Meta Ads

$144,000 to $210,000Full-Time100% In-HouseSugar Land, TX

This is a full-time, 100% in-house position in Sugar Land, TX 77478. No remote or hybrid.

JWeis is looking for an exceptional Creative Director to own our performance creative function.

This is not a traditional brand Creative Director role.

Our primary advertising platform is Meta, and you will own the creative journey from attention through conversion.

That means understanding the customer, developing offers and messaging, creating angles and hooks, leading video and static production, improving copy and conversion experiences, analyzing performance, determining what gets tested next, and building the people and systems required to do it at scale.

You own the creative function, the process, and the outcomes.

What you'll own

  • Customer research, avatars, buyer psychology, objections, desires, and buying triggers
  • Offers, positioning, messaging, angles, hooks, and concepts
  • Meta creative strategy across video, static, UGC, talking-head, spokesperson, and other formats
  • Scripts, headlines, ad copy, CTAs, and conversion messaging
  • VSLs, lead-generation landing pages, forms, quizzes, and post-click experiences
  • Creative testing strategy and iteration
  • Performance analysis and determining what creative gets produced next
  • Designers, video editors, copywriters, creators, spokespeople, freelancers, and other creative resources
  • Creative production capacity, workflow, quality, and speed
  • SOPs, naming conventions, creative taxonomy, documentation, and QA standards
  • Asset organization, version management, testing documentation, and creative learnings
  • Working with our AI team to build technology and automation around the creative process

If creative quality is poor, volume is too low, testing isn't producing meaningful learnings, or the creative isn't driving results, you are responsible for identifying why and fixing it.

Build the creative operating system

We don't just need someone who can make good ads. We need someone who can build the machine that repeatedly produces them.

You will create and manage the SOPs and infrastructure behind how JWeis researches, creates, names, organizes, tests, measures, and improves creative.

We should always be able to answer:

What did we test? Why did we test it? What happened? What did we learn? What should we test next?

You'll also work directly with our AI and technology team to turn those processes into tools and automation that make our creative organization faster, smarter, and more scalable.

You don't need to be an engineer.

You define what the creative department needs. Our AI team helps build the technology.

You must understand performance

You are not the media buyer, but you need to understand what the numbers are telling you. You should be comfortable working with:

  • Hook and thumb-stop rates
  • Hold and watch behavior
  • CTR
  • CPC
  • Conversion rates
  • CPL
  • Qualified opportunities
  • Booked appointments
  • CAC
  • ROAS and downstream revenue

If an ad gets attention but doesn't generate clicks, you should have hypotheses about why.

If it gets clicks but doesn't convert, you should know where to look next.

If it generates cheap leads that don't become qualified opportunities, you should understand that's not a winning ad.

You should constantly be thinking:

What did we test? What happened? Why? What did we learn? What do we test next?

You must be hands-on

We are not looking for a Creative Director who hasn't actually created performance advertising in years.

You should be capable of taking something from:

Research → Offer → Angle → Hook → Script → Creative → Copy → CTA → Finished Ad

You need to understand modern performance video, static creative, UGC, talking-head ads, scripts, editing, captions, pacing, B-roll, visual structure, templates, and production tools.

You don't need to personally make every asset.

Your job is to build and lead the people, processes, and systems that produce exceptional creative at scale without becoming the bottleneck.

But you need to be capable of getting into the work yourself and showing the team what great looks like.

What we're looking for

We're looking for significant experience with:

  • Direct-response or performance creative
  • Meta advertising
  • Buyer psychology and customer research
  • Offers, positioning, hooks, angles, and messaging
  • Direct-response copywriting
  • Video and static advertising
  • Creative testing and iteration
  • Advertising performance data
  • VSLs, landing pages, and lead-generation funnels
  • Leading designers, editors, copywriters, and creators
  • Building SOPs and repeatable creative systems
  • Managing creative production at meaningful volume

Agency, high-volume paid social, lead-generation, or direct-response experience is strongly preferred.

How you'll be measured

This role is measured by outcomes, not activity. Success means:

  • Better-performing creative
  • More qualified opportunities and booked appointments
  • Improved acquisition economics
  • Greater testing velocity
  • Consistent creative volume
  • Documented learnings
  • A creative operation that becomes more effective as it scales

Ultimately, you own whether JWeis develops a world-class performance creative operation.
